Endless Pools Swim-In-Place Above Ground Lap Pool Used with New Liner & Pump
This is an Endless Pool -- a backyard/ indoor lap pool that allows you to swim in place against a smooth, moving current of water. You can vary the speed of the current from extremely slow up to Olympic-swimmer speed. It's like an exercise treadmill for swimmers, and it allows you to swim laps at home without constantly having to turn around in the pool to swim back and forth. This is great for people who would like to swim at home for exercise, but the current is also a lot of fun for kids and adults to play in! The current is smooth, like swimming in a moving river, not like swimming against high-pressure spa jets as in some kinds of "swim spas".
Also there is no need to use ropes or harnesses to support the body as is some swim spas. It's like swimming upstream in a river, not like swimming inside a spa with the jets running. The inside dimensions of the pool is 14 feet long, 8 feet wide, and about 42 inches deep. The swim area is 7 by 12. Water depth is about 39 inches.
Outside dimensions of the pool coping is 15.5 feet by 9.5 feet. The reel and crank for the vinyl cover extend off the back of the pool. Above-Ground, In-Ground, or Partially In-Ground Installation. The Endless Pool is designed as a kind of above-ground pool, with steel side panels and a vinyl liner. The pool can be installed on hard level surfaces, like a concrete slab, which can be located inside a house, in a garage, on a patio, etc. For in-ground or partially in-ground installations, the pool is installed on the floor of a concrete "vault" in the ground. As shown in the pictures, this particular pool is installed in a concrete vault that is about 2 feet deep, leaving about 20 inches of the pool above ground. A Trex coping is installed on top of the pool, and a wood siding "skirt" is installed to cover the steel outside the pool. The pool has a retractable vinyl cover for safety, and also to make the pool cheaper to heat and easier to keep clean. The cover is easy to crank open by hand, and you pull it closed with a rope and handle. Includes Filtration System, Gas Heater, Swim Current Hydraulic Pumps and Motors. This Endless Pool is in good condition and is currently dis-assembled and ready for pick-up at ground level. Unit was first installed in 1999 and used for 5 years. It was then put in storage and partially re-assembled in a garage. Unit was set up indoors and above ground so it was protected from the elements.There is some minor rusting and is structurally sound. It includes a retractable cover, 4 jets for hydro-massaging, swim mirror, corner steps, and much more. Some Parts Need May Need Replacement. Some parts will need to be replaced after the pool is re-assembled.
I expect some of the PVC pipes and hydraulic lines may be difficult to uninstall and reuse, and they may need to be replaced. There are certain parts that should be replaced as part of routine maintenance that you may choose to replace at this time.
